Court Orders EFCC To Return N228m It Forcefully Seized From Taraba Gov Candidate & Two Others

The Federal High Court sitting in Jalingo on Wednesday ordered the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to refund N228m it forcefully collected from the trio of APC governorship candidate, Sani Danladi, Senator Joel Ikenya and ex-Speaker of Taraba State House of Assembly, Mark Useni, according to a report by Punch.
The order must be complied with within 72 hours, the court ordered.

A dog owner, Sasha Smajic, 37, spent over £4000 ( N1, 872, 480) on giving her late dog, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier named Captain, a lavish funeral, Metro UK has reported.
 
Smajic said, Captain, who was eleven years old deserved the same respect as any family member. Captain died on Christmas Day after suffering a cardiac arrest on the operating table.

The High Court of the Federal Capital Territory in Apo, Abuja, on Monday, dismissed a suit challenging the emergence of Senator Buruji Kashamu as the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ogun State.
The suit was instituted by a governorship aspirant on the platform of the party and member of the House of Representatives, Oladipupo Adebutu.

Amina Bashir, a presenter with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) Network Centre, Kaduna and her one-year-old son died Saturday in a road crash, Daily Trust reports.
 
She was on her way to the NTA TV College in Jos, Plateau State, when the incident occurred. She was buried Saturday evening in accordance with Islamic rites.
