Trafficking: Eight Ghanaians Arrested In Nigeria

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has arrested eight Ghanaian ladies over human trafficking at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos.

The suspects, who were arrested on Monday, were flying to the Lagos airport to Kuwait via Libya, where they were hoping to cross over to Europe.

The NIS officials were sent to Nigeria with Ghanaian passports.

According to the source, the ladies did not have any reasons for attempting to use Nigeria as a transit point to Europe.
