Son Smashes Stabilizer, Wooden Stool On Mother’s Head I'm Lagos

A trial court of Ebute Metta in Lagos on Tuesday arrested the 29-year-old Taiwo Akinola for breaking a stabilizer on his mother's head.

The accused is accused of attempted murder.

The chief magistrate, O.A. Komolafe, who issued the order, said the accused would be held in the prison of Ikoyi awaiting the advice of the director of prosecutors.

Earlier, policeman Kehinde Omisakin told the court that the defendant committed the crime on August 8 at 8 am, No.2 Raji Ajanaku Street, in Ayobo, a suburb of Lagos.


Omisakin said the accused tried to kill his mother, Iyabo Fawole, 68, and that he had broken an automatic tension stabilizer and a wooden stool on his head.

The offense violated Article 230, paragraph 1 of the Penal Code of Lagos, 2015.

The case has been postponed to 8 October to be mentioned.
