Nursery School Director Hires Pole Dancers To Welcome Children Back From Summer Break

A director of the kindergarten was fired after young children were welcomed on the first day of school by scantily clad pole dancers.

Shocked parents watched young women swing around the post like strippers for hundreds of students.

The now unemployed director, Lai Rong, explained in a long apology that the routine was meant to offer some "atmosphere" to the parents and children.

But education officials said the execution was inappropriate and dismissed her from her role.

In the statement, Lai admitted that the decision to hold a pole dance show for more than 100 parents and almost 500 children between the ages of three and six was "not well thought out".

Lai apologized for the embarrassing incident and said she welcomed parents' supervision of future affairs.
