Premier League Referee, Bobby Madley, Quits!- Emmy.ng

Bobby Madley left his referee position in the first division for a single game of the new season 2018-19 "due to a change of personal situation".

The 32-year-old was to become one of Europe's top referees and was named to FIFA's list in January.

Madley missed the opening weekend of the season and has now left his referee position and moved after a personal change of circumstances.

Professional Game Match Officials Limited announced Madley's decision to retire in a short statement.

In a statement, PGMOL said: "Bobby Madley is no longer employed by PGMOL.

"We understand that he decided to move because of a change in his personal situation."

Madley has overseen 91 Premier League matches since 2013.

He officiated 19 Premier League games last season and the 2017 Community Shield.
