Serena Williams loses to Angelique Kerber in Wimbledon women's final

 Serena Willams' pursuit for her eighth Wimbledon title came to an end this afternoon as she was beaten by Germany's Angelique Kerber in the Wimbledon Women's Final in 2018.

The 36-year-old American and mother of one team was defeated 6-3, 6-3 in straight sets, allowing Kerber to win her first title at Wimbledon for her Australian Open crowns and the US Open 2016.

The game drew famous faces including the duchesses, Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle as well as Tiger Woods, Lewis Hamilton, and many others who came out to support Serena Williams, a 23-time Grand Slam champion.
