Nigeria man left Nigeria For Libya With 2 Legs, Returns Back With Crutches

A young man simply identified as Abraham recounted his horrific experience after his recent return from Libya.

The man left Nigeria for Libya walking on both legs. Now he can only walk with the help of crutches. He was helped to return home last Thursday via an International Organization for Migration organized by IOM in Libya.

He recounted how a car broke his leg in the North African country before speeding. He was taken to the hospital where he was treated. He is now walking with the help crutches.

Meanwhile, Thursday, the UN agency for migration helped 154 other Nigerians to return from Libya by chartered plane.

Returning migrants received transportation, medical assistance, psychosocial counseling and support from IOM in collaboration with government partners.
