Mark Zuckerberg Now World's Third Richest Man

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is today the third richest man in the world, surpassing Warren Buffett on Bloomberg's list of the world's richest people.

Zuckerberg beat Buffett on Friday as Facebook shares rose 2.4%, Bloomberg reported. Above Zuckerberg were Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, in the front row, and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates. Daily rankings of the 500 richest people in the world in the Bloomberg Billionaires Index showed that the top three remained on the same Saturday.

Zuckerberg is now worth $ 81.6 billion, nearly $ 400 million more than Buffett, chairman of the Berkshire Hathaway investment group. Zuckerberg's California-based social networking business has more than 2 billion active monthly users.

The company's action reached a record high despite a careful review of its Cambridge Analytica data breach that disclosed up to 87 million personal information, reported MarketWatch. Zuckerberg has promised to donate 99% of his Facebook stock in his life, his Bloomberg profile shows.

In addition, Zuckerberg gave $ 3.58 billion in share sales this year to a charity initiative he created with his wife, Priscilla Chan, in 2015. Buffett donated approximately 290 million shares of its Berkshire Hathaway stock to charities $ 50 billion.
