Croatia's Semi-Final Match Hero, Perisic Doubtful For Final Clash vs France

Croatian winger Ivan Perisic is considered a major doubt for his country's first World Cup final after suffering a thigh injury in their semi-final match against England on Wednesday.

Croatia will face France on Sunday after scoring a goal to beat England.

Perisic was treated Thursday in a Moscow hospital after playing a key role in Croatia's semifinal win against England at the Luzhniki stadium.

The 29-year-old Inter Milan winger scored and assisted Croatia in the 2-1 win and was named the Budweiser man of the match.

Perisic, after his team's victory over England, thinks defeat against France 20 years ago in the semi-finals will help his teammates when both teams meet on Sunday.

"France stopped us in the semi-finals in 1998," he told FIFA.com.

"We'll have extra motivation because of that, for sure, but it's a totally different story, they're favorites, but we'll do our best to surprise them." We have three days to prepare.

"We are all happy to stay in Moscow, it was our goal, our dream is so close now."
