Two Nigerian Women Hailed For Overpowering Molesters In India, Hand Them Over To Police

Two Nigerian women beat the abusers and handed them over to police in the Indian city of Chennai on Tuesday.

According to The Times of India, unidentified Nigerians are students at Loyola University and Madras Christian University in India.

They reportedly walked towards their rented accommodation when the two men boarded and attempted to annoy them.

The women would not fall without fighting, they rained blows on their assailants while screaming for help.

Their cries of help attracted people to the scene and upon seeing this, the assailants tried to flee, but the two women did not give up and persecuted.

Aided by a few bystanders, they overcame and dominated the men before the scene arrived a team of police patrols.

The two women sought help from officials at the Nigerian embassy, ​​saying they were ready to leave home shortly after completing their studies.

Santhosh Haidmeni, police superintendent of the Kancheepuram district, said the defendants were in custody.

"We have the two accused with us and we are questioning them, we are waiting for a formal complaint to draft our first information report (FIR)," he said.

"The police recorded a case against men under IPC 354 (a): assault or criminal force on a woman with the intention of abusing her modesty; 323: attack with hands; 294 (b): abuse and 506 (II): criminal intimidation, apart from Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu bullying prevention law.

"A magistrates court is ready to send them to jail on Wednesday."

Rape cases have been reported in India, which sometimes lead to the death of the victims
