Nigeria Ranks 4th Among Countries With Highest Net Mobile Subscriptions

A multinational network and telecommunications company, Ericsson, said today that Nigeria ranked fourth among the top five countries with the highest net amount of mobile subscriptions in the first quarter of 2018.

Ericsson made this known in its global mobility report of June 2018 published on its website.

The report says that Nigeria had 3 million in the first quarter compared to China, which came first with 53 million, followed by India with 16 million, Indonesia 6 million and Bangladesh 2 million.

In the first quarter of 2018, 98 million new subscriptions were added, and China, India, Indonesia, Nigeria and Bangladesh lead the group, according to the report.

The Ericsson mobility report also forecasts that there will be 8.9 billion mobile subscriptions by the end of 2023 worldwide.
