Four Cultists Name Ogun Lawmaker As Sponsor

Four people suspected of being members of a secret cult have been arrested by the police for allegedly shooting and killing a person, identified as Arsenal-Nice in Sagamu, Ogun State.

The suspects: Olushola Adedeji; Olusegun Olalekan, also known as Musket; Azeez, also known as Anene; and Abolore, alias A.B, were arrested by the agents of Zonal Intervention Squadron, Obada, Abeokuta.

Punch Metro learned that his arrest came after a complaint filed in the ZIS that the suspects allegedly killed Arsenal-Nice dead.

It was learned that the suspects allegedly named the member representing Sagamu constituency 1, Yinka Mafe, as their sponsor.

But in a quick reaction, Mafe, who is also the leader of the majority in the House of the State Assembly, denied the accusation.

His response through a text message read: "I do not react to the ideas of the brewery, I prefer to be charged to a court of competent jurisdiction, so I have my day in court as a lawyer to defend myself." Thank you. "

The Public Relations Officer of the Zonal Police, Dolapo Badmus, said: "The case is under investigation, they (the suspects) said they were working for a politician, but we are investigating it."
